We are fortunate that many ‘like minded’ organisations have worked with CF members in the past: running training in all areas of political activity, providing opportunities to travel abroad to see other political groups and having a Speakers Panel so that high class speakers can be obtained.

We should utilise their expertise: outsource it to these groups. This will provided professional training to our members and avoid incidents such as the failed Working Life conference last year.

The needs of each member will always vary. Therefore we should offer as much support and opportunities as possible. From my knowledge of the breadth and depth of talent within CF, I imagine courses ranging from media training to canvassing skills to campaign management will all be popular.

Once we improve the information network, we can advertise all events to all of our members. It should be possible to offer regional training, once we establish interest levels. Area Chairs should give feedback to the NME so we develop a history and recommendations list for future CF members.

I really enjoy Party Conference - the mix of politics, debate and socials makes it a must for all active members. Last year’s conference in Blackpool was absolutely buzzing. We should have something especially for CF members.

I realise that we do not yet have the standing or active support to restore a National Weekend - I want to ensure the sustainability of CF and feel we must use our present resources wisely: notably the Party Conference.

The rooms have already been booked, the politicians will already be attending & all the support already exists - we should use this!

If elected I plan to create a CF conference to be held once a year at the main Party Conference. The CF conferences will include:

• Activist training sessions
• Speeches from members of the political world
• Smaller forum sessions with the NME and Area Chairman
• Campaigning in the area
• Social event to finish off the day

I plan to attach this CF conference before the first day of Party Conference, leaving space for the National Convention. This will cut down drastically the costs for the conference, plus giving us superb facilities to use for it! Getting the speakers will be far easier as well. By holding it at the Party Conference it will make it far cheaper for CF members to attend - you will already have booked accommodation!

I am already looking forward to the first CF Conference!
